• Images: All image processing happens entirely within your browser using the IMG.LY background removal library. Your images are never uploaded to any server. We never see, store, or have access to your images at any point.
• No User Accounts: BackgroundDelete does not require or offer user accounts. You do not need to sign up, log in, or provide any personal information to use the Service.
• No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information (PII) through the Service.

2. How We Use Information

Since we do not collect personal information or images, there is essentially no user data to use. Any limited technical data that may be collected (such as through server logs or analytics) is used solely for:

• Ensuring the technical functionality and security of the website
• Understanding aggregate usage patterns to improve the Service
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues

We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond maintaining and improving the Service.

3. Data Storage and Security

Because all image processing occurs locally in your browser, BackgroundDelete does not store your images on any server. Once you close the browser tab, any temporary data used during processing is automatically cleared by your browser.

The website itself is a static site hosted on Vercel's infrastructure. Any server-side logging is handled by Vercel according to their standard practices. We do not maintain our own databases or data storage systems for user content.

While we take reasonable measures to ensure the security of the website, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. However, given that no personal data or images are transmitted from your device, the risk to your privacy is minimal.

4. Cookies

BackgroundDelete does not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or any other purpose. The Service does not set any first-party cookies in your browser.

Any cookies that may appear are set by third-party services (see Section 5) and are subject to those services' respective privacy policies.

5. Third-Party Services

BackgroundDelete relies on the following third-party services to function:

• IMG.LY Background Removal Library: The core AI background removal functionality is provided by the IMG.LY library, which is loaded from the jsDelivr CDN (a third-party content delivery network). When your browser loads this library, jsDelivr may receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser user agent, as is typical with any CDN request. • Vercel Hosting & Analytics: BackgroundDelete is hosted on Vercel. If enabled, Vercel may collect anonymized analytics data such as page view counts, referrer URLs, and basic device/browser information. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any user data to share.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data.
